CAPMC BBQ in Harwell

CAP Didcot and Wallingford’s Summer BBQ at St Matthew’s, Church Lane, Harwell, OX11 0EZ. It will be a great time for CAP clients and volunteers to eat, have fun and hear the Gospel together, with food, kids games, live music and a talk from Musician, Missionary and Mum, Kathryn Ford on why “You Matter”.

CAP MC will be serving CAP Debt Centre and the other churches on this by organizing the BBQ and food. As a group we will be getting there from 11:30am, setting up (quietly as St Matthew’s morning service will still be going on!), getting food on and cooking it, serving drinks, and then helping to clear up at the end. Anyone is very welcome to join us with this – should be great fun. Let Nick know or Stuart McGill know if you are coming on so we know for catering and organizing roles. There will be parking in the field opposite the church.

Ladies Day - POSTPONED - More news to follow

Ladies Day at the King's Centre with Guest Speaker Sarah Williams

God is a  God of power and of intimacy who calls us to follow him and to walk hand in hand with him. We want to explore our identity in Christ - to know that we’re secure in who we are and how God sees us. That he made us and equipped us for all he has called us to and that we have a destiny and a purpose in him.
We want to set aside time to rest in God’s presence and hear what he would say to us today, to find out what he wants to release in us and to go wherever he calls us with faith & hope. Our expectation is that people leave more confident in who they are in Christ & better equipped to live life to the full.

Ladies Day.jpg

Our speaker Sarah is a research professor from Regents college, Vancouver , she is also the author of a widely read spiritual autobiography entitled The Shaming of the Strong, in which she reflects theologically on contemporary debates surrounding identity and personhood. Sarah is married to Paul &  they have recently moved back from Canada to the Cotswolds.
Cost: £20 before February 14th, £25 thereafter. It really helps our planning and the caterers if you book promptly. Please book by March 1st AT THE LATEST!!  (Any bookings after that will not be entitled to food).
