Love Didcot MC - Walk to a local pub
We had a wonderful time gathering together as a Love Didcot Community. We gathered first on a slightly windswept Wittenham Clumps for a short walk up to the top and around the clumps. We stopped to pause at the top and reflect on something about Jesus and as we did a beautiful rainbow appeared and then the heavens opened! It was a slightly surreal moment but we all quickly sought shelter in the trees at the clumps and enjoyed a group photograph.
After this we all gathered together at the Pococks house and enjoyed tea, cake and good company, before too long though it was all time to head home and get settled ahead of a new school term. It really was a great time together and we will be repeating it all again just after Christmas on the 30 Dec.
Family Connect had some fresh air, food and family fun in West Hendred. The morning started with an autumnal walk through the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The children had fun finding hidden words along the way which, when all collected, were rearranged to read the verses from Proverbs 3 v 5-6 about trusting in God.
Back at the village hall plenty of bacon butties were happily consumed (140 rashers in total!) and this was followed by a short period of worship together. To end the morning and sticking with the autumnal theme, we learnt about the importance of 3 biblical trees spanning creation, Jesus and Revelation!

It will be a great time for CAP clients and volunteers to eat, have fun and hear the Gospel together, with food, kids games, live music and a talk from Musician, Missionary and Mum, Kathryn Ford on why “You Matter”.
CAP MC will be serving CAP Debt Centre and the other churches on this by organizing the BBQ and food. As a group we will be getting there from 11:30am, setting up (quietly as St Matthew’s morning service will still be going on!), getting food on and cooking it, serving drinks, and then helping to clear up at the end. Anyone is very welcome to join us with this – should be great fun. Let Nick know or Stuart McGill know if you are coming on email@example.com so we know for catering and organizing roles. There will be parking in the field opposite the church.
The location is 50 Sharpenhoe Road, Barton-le-clay Bedfordshire, MK45 4SD (approx 90mins drive - day trip distance if you cannot commit to staying overnight).

Games are titled: 'Skip to the loo' or 'Compost corner' (depending on the weather), laser tag and stuck in the mud also possible.
