mad march share 2026…

The Church is the family of God (Ephesians 2:19) and during March we want to remind ourselves of that by sharing together as God’s family – sharing food, sharing free-time, sharing fun, sharing friendship, sharing finances, sharing faith.

Of course, these are things we’re called to do all year round, but let’s use our Mad March Share as an opportunity to get into better practices of it. Why don’t you think this month about who you could invite round for a meal, meet up with for a coffee, go for a walk with, play a game with, offer practical help to.

Church community is a wonderful thing which blesses all of us and the world. Jesus said “Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples” (John 13:34-35) – let’s love each other practically and play our part in strengthening church community together.

Mad March Share is also a time when we look to share finances as church family. It happens to be the time of year when we start planning our budget for our next financial year (September ’26 to August ’27). We're so grateful for all the money that people generously give to King’s. Currently most months we are receiving less than we are spending and are therefore eating into our reserves. As the church is growing fast, we feel God is calling us to take a step of faith in employing more staff over the course of the next year, in particular a part-time Trainee Pastor, as well as the Operations Manager role Jansen has been doing on a voluntary basis over recent months. We are therefore asking everyone to pray during this month and consider how you can share finances to support God’s work through the King’s Church – details of how to give are here.

And finally, Mad March Share is a time when we look share our faith with others. There is currently incredible openness to Jesus in this country – more than I have known before over 30 years of following him. Let’s think about who we can give a Gospel to (feel free to pick one up from the info desk on Sunday morning), who we can invite to church, who we can chat about life over coffee with.

To help us during this time we (together with six other local churches) are hosting the Didcot Easter Festival, including the Didcot Passion Play on Saturday 28th March at 3pm at the Orchard Centre amphitheatre, and the Encounter God evening at Didcot Civic Hall Tuesday 31st March at 7:30pm. There will be a clear Gospel presentation at each of these – please do come along to be a part of these great events and please do think about who you can invite along.

We will shortly have flyers available to invite people – there is also an opportunity to deliver these to homes and to give out in the Orchard Centre on Saturday 14th March at 3pm and Saturday 21st March at 11am.

Let’s make this Mad March Share a special time of togetherness, faith and love.
