Jesus taught his followers how to pray in the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6:5-13) and we want to follow Jesus’ example and believe in the importance of prayer both on an individual level and as a church together.
We have a regular rhythm of prayer and worship meetings on the second Sunday of the month in the evening, when we physically meet together to spend time in God’s presence and pray for what’s on our hearts.
We also have a Month of Prayer three times a year with lots of ways to get involved.
The following are weekly opportunities to pray with others at King's:
Sunday mornings pre-service - prayer before our whole church gathering from 9:45-10:15am (turn up for any part of it you can make), normally in the canteen area just next to the main hall.
Sunday mornings - corporate prayer - we often include some prayer together in our whole church gathering
Sunday mornings post-service - there will be Prayer Ministry members at the back of church after the service (wearing a black lanyard) who will be happy to pray with you
Sunday evenings - worship and prayer - 7:45-9pm at Aureus - a wonderful time of extended worship and prayer held once a month on the second Sunday, and every Sunday during our Month of Prayer
Tuesday lunchtime - Ladies prayer 12:30-1:30pm this is normally a hybrid meeting but during Nick and Naomi’s sabbatical it is only on Zoom***
Thursday evening - Midweek Communities pray together and are currently doing a course from 24/7 Prayer called “Be Still” during our Month of Prayer.
Friday evening - 7:30-8pm Zoom prayer led by Lucy***
